Machine learning

Machine learning is a subfield of artificial intelligence that gives computers the ability to learn from data. Machine learning algorithms can be used to identify patterns, make predictions, and even make decisions without being explicitly programmed.

• Supervised learning

Supervised learning is a type of machine learning in which the algorithm is trained on a dataset that has been labeled with the correct answers. For example, a supervised learning algorithm could be trained to identify cats by being shown a dataset of images of cats and dogs, with each image labeled as "cat" or "dog".

• Unsupervised learning

Unsupervised learning is a type of machine learning in which the algorithm is trained on a dataset that has not been labeled. The algorithm must then learn to identify patterns in the data on its own. For example, an unsupervised learning algorithm could be trained to cluster a dataset of customer data into different groups based on their spending habits.

• Reinforcement learning

Reinforcement learning is a type of machine learning in which the algorithm learns by interacting with its environment. The algorithm receives rewards for good actions and punishments for bad actions, and it learns to adjust its behavior accordingly. For example, a reinforcement learning algorithm could be trained to play a game by receiving rewards for winning and punishments for losing.

• Deep learning

Deep learning is a type of machine learning that uses artificial neural networks to learn from data. Artificial neural networks are inspired by the human brain, and they can learn to identify complex patterns in data. For example, a deep learning algorithm could be trained to identify objects in images by being shown a dataset of images of different objects.
