• Milesian school: The Milesian school was one of the earliest schools of Pre-Socratic philosophy. It was founded by Thales, Anaximander, and Anaximenes. These philosophers believed that the universe was made up of a single, primordial substance, such as water, air, or fire.
• Eleatic school: The Eleatic school was another important school of Pre-Socratic philosophy. It was founded by Parmenides and Zeno. These philosophers argued that reality is unchanging and indivisible.
• Pluralist school: The pluralist school was a group of Pre-Socratic philosophers who argued that reality is made up of multiple, indivisible substances. Some of the most famous pluralist philosophers include Empedocles, Anaxagoras, and Democritus.

• Allegory of the Cave: The Allegory of the Cave is a story that Plato tells in his dialogue The Republic. It describes a group of prisoners who are chained in a cave and can only see shadows of objects projected on the wall. Plato argues that the prisoners represent people who are trapped in ignorance and that the shadows represent the illusions of the physical world.
• Doctrine of Recollection: Plato's doctrine of recollection is the idea that we are born with knowledge of the Forms. This knowledge is forgotten when we are born into the physical world, but it can be recollected through education and contemplation.
